We deeply respect the privacy and security of your personal information, which is why we’re writing to inform you about an incident involving customer order information that happened on VENDOR XXX, our third-party website hosting platform, and the actions that are being taken to support you.
What happened?
On DAY, DATE, VENDOR XXX informed us about a security incident that occurred on its platform. We now have the details of the customer information compromised and are proactively sharing what we know with you. VENDOR XXX told us that names, addresses, emails, product orders and the last four digits of credit cards may have been obtained. VENDOR XXX assured us complete credit card information and account passwords were NOT obtained.
The security incident did not occur at YOUR COMPANY XXX and happened entirely on VENDOR XXX’s platform. YOUR COMPANY XXX is not the only company that was impacted by VENDOR XXX’s breach, but we wanted you to hear this information from us.
How will you be supported?
VENDOR XXX assured us they have implemented immediate changes to make sure this doesn’t happen again and to further protect your data going forward. VENDOR XXX is conducting an ongoing investigation with law enforcement and we will obtain more information as it becomes available. You can read their current public statement here.
Because no complete payment card numbers were exposed, the likelihood of identity theft is low. We still recommend monitoring your bank statements or credit reports for any unusual activity. Please know that any orders that you place on YOUR COMPANY XXX.com at this time are safe and secure.
